At approximately 9:34 p.m., a man was walking in front of 761 Middle Country Road when he was hit by a westbound 2008 Mercedes Benz ML350.

The vehicle was driven by Clarissa Macioce, age 50, from St. James. Emergency responders rushed the victim to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have withheld the victim’s name pending family notification.
