Uniontown Veterans Day Parade Set for November 11 at 11 AM

URGENT UPDATE: The annual Veterans Day Parade in Uniontown is set to take place on Tuesday, November 11, starting at 11 AM. Hosted by the American Legion LaFayette Post 51, this event is a vital opportunity to honor those who have served in the military.

Participants will gather in downtown Uniontown, with the parade lineup beginning at 9 AM. Marchers will stage on East Church Street between Marshall Park and Marshall Manor, as well as on Jefferson Street, Iowa Street, and East South Street. Notably, the parade will pause at Storey Square at 11:11 AM for a poignant rendition of taps.

For those involved, buses can drop off marching bands and Junior ROTC members at the parking lot of St. John the Evangelist Church, located at 50 Jefferson St. After the parade, students will be picked up in the parking lot of St. Mary (Nativity) Church, at 61 N. Mount Vernon Ave..

All participating bands will line up between Marshall Park and Marshall Manor, while JROTC members are assigned to the parking lot of the Uniontown Public Library. Fire and rescue vehicles are expected to stage on Iowa Street. Other organizations should form three lanes on East Church Street or East South Street.

Veterans wishing to participate in the parade are encouraged to meet in Marshall Park. Please note that no all-terrain vehicles or side-by-sides will be allowed without prior approval from the Uniontown Police Department. Additionally, horses are prohibited, and no political messaging may be displayed during the parade.
