Rosa Lee Manderfeld, Beloved Cloquet Nurse, Passes Away at 83

Born on February 2, 1942, Rosa, affectionately known as Rosie, grew up on a small farm in Cloquet as the middle child among seven siblings. She graduated from Cloquet High School in 1960 and went on to complete her nursing education, establishing a legacy of compassion and service.

Rosie was not only a dedicated healthcare professional but also a passionate athlete. In 1992, she proudly completed the Grandma’s Marathon, showcasing her love for walking and fitness. Her commitment to health extended beyond her profession, inspiring many in her community.

On February 16, 1963, Rosie married Jerome (Jerry) Manderfeld, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage until his passing in 2009. Together, they raised two children: Elizabeth and David, who carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Haidar) Fakhoury, her son, David (Dawn) Manderfeld, and her grandchildren: Jeries (Shannon) Fakhoury, Joseph Fakhoury, Logan Manderfeld (Rita Kuzko), and Kiera Manderfeld. She also leaves behind a great-grandson, Micah, along with numerous loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
