UPDATE: A homicide investigation is underway in North Carolina after a man’s body was discovered following a welfare check. On October 21, 2023, deputies from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Swinging Bridge Road, owned by David Mize, where they found signs of foul play.
Authorities report that deputies forced entry into the residence when there was no response. Inside, they noted suspicious circumstances that prompted further investigation. This led them to Caldwell County, where they sadly located Mize’s body.
