Firefighter Injured in Pigeon Forge Antique Shop Blaze

UPDATE: A firefighter was injured while battling a blaze at Country Mill Crafts and Antiques in Pigeon Forge yesterday evening. The fire erupted around 6:13 p.m., prompting an immediate response from local firefighting crews.

According to Craig Cruise, public information officer for the Pigeon Forge Fire Department, firefighters arrived to find visible smoke and flames emanating from the building. While the fire was classified as “controllable,” one firefighter suffered a minor hand injury when a ladder shifted unexpectedly during the operation. The injured firefighter was promptly transported to LeConte Medical Center for treatment.

Fortunately, no civilians were in the antique shop at the time of the fire, and the Pigeon Forge Fire Department managed to limit damage to a moderate level. The community is relieved to hear that the injured firefighter is expected to make a full recovery, according to the department’s representative.
