He was born on March 2, 1956, to parents Trinidad “Trino” Ortega and Dolores “Lola” Ortega, and spent his entire life in the Harbor Area, where he became a well-known figure in the community.

Ortega leaves behind a cherished family, including his daughters, Charmaine Morales (Armando) and Helani Ortega Godinez (Danny), as well as his son, Michael Ortega. His legacy extends to 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his memory. The grandchildren include Valerie (Jason), Veronica (Michael), Victoria (Vance), AJ, Leah, Dominique, Natalie (Milton), Maili, Solomon (Latavia), Melanie (Christopher), Mikey Jr., Lauren, Noah, DJ, and Leinani.
