New Art Lab Thursdays Program Launches for Kids Starting January 29

URGENT UPDATE: A new after-school art program, Art Lab Thursdays, is set to launch on January 29 in Fort Worth, providing children aged 6 to 12 a unique space to explore their creativity. This program is designed to foster artistic expression and build confidence through hands-on activities.

Starting at 4:00 PM and running until 5:30 PM every Thursday, Art Lab Thursdays will offer children a relaxed environment to engage with various art materials. The sessions will commence with a brief guided introduction, leading into open studio time where kids can paint, sculpt, draw, and experiment freely.

The initiative, spearheaded by Panther City Artists, a nonprofit focused on inclusive and process-based art education, emphasizes creativity over competition. “Our goal is to provide joy through making, focusing on process rather than perfection,” said a representative from the organization.

Art Lab Thursdays will feature diverse activities including:
– Paint & mixed media
– Clay & sculpture
– Drawing & mark-making
– Collage & building materials

Parents can choose between a $25 drop-in fee for individual sessions or a $95 monthly membership covering four Thursdays. This flexible pricing aims to accommodate families seeking enriching after-school options.

Spaces are expected to fill quickly, so interested parents are encouraged to register online immediately at www.panthercityartists.org.

This program not only supports children in their artistic journeys but also fosters community engagement and creative development in Fort Worth. Stay tuned for updates as more details emerge about this exciting new opportunity for young artists!
