Hailey Bieber recently shared that her pregnancy with son Jack was unexpected, despite her prior assumptions about not having children soon. During an appearance on the “SHE M.D.” podcast, co-hosted by Dr. Thais Aliabadi and women’s advocate Mary Alice Haney, the model and beauty entrepreneur revealed that Jack’s conception was not planned due to medical advice regarding a uterine condition.
Bieber disclosed that she has a uterine septum, a condition where a membrane divides the uterus into two separate cavities. This condition can increase the risks of miscarriages, infertility, and preterm labor. Dr. Aliabadi had advised Bieber against becoming pregnant while they were formulating a treatment plan for her condition. Yet, shortly after their conversation, Bieber found herself expecting.
Concerns and Joys of Unexpected Parenthood
Dr. Aliabadi expressed initial concern for Bieber’s health upon learning about the pregnancy. She was apprehensive about the potential complications due to the septum. Fortunately, the pregnancy progressed well, and Jack was born in August 2024.
The couple has shared glimpses of their life with Jack on social media, showcasing their joy as new parents. Justin Bieber even referenced Jack in his album “Swag II,” further highlighting the significance of their unexpected addition to the family.
Although Jack was not part of their immediate plans, both Hailey and Justin Bieber have embraced parenthood wholeheartedly. The couple’s experience serves as a reminder that life can often take unexpected turns, leading to beautiful outcomes.
