Good Earth Natural Foods, a well-known organic grocer based in Marin County, is expanding its footprint with a new store in San Rafael. The upcoming location, set to open in Spring 2027 at 1500 Northgate Drive, will occupy the former Rite Aid building in the Northgate Mall. This marks the company’s third store, joining existing locations in Fairfax and Mill Valley.

In addition to expanding its product offerings, the San Rafael location is projected to create over 200 new jobs, providing current staff with opportunities for advancement. “We are thrilled to announce the opening of a third Good Earth location in Marin County,” Mitchell stated. “This new chapter not only strengthens our ties to the community but also supports our mission of improving the health of people and the planet.”

It will include a café offering organic juices, smoothies, and coffee drinks, alongside a full-service meat and seafood department, and a prepared foods section made from scratch.
