A source, who spoke under the condition of anonymity due to safety concerns, described harrowing conditions within detention facilities, stating, “They are raping men and women in jail… People are getting raped in the jail every day.”
One individual, an Iranian refugee, claimed that detainees, including women, were subjected to gang rape at gunpoint. This source alleged that some women returned to their families were missing their wombs, suggesting a deliberate attempt to conceal evidence of the crimes. “Some of the women’s bodies that were returned to their families were missing their wombs so that the crimes could not be traced or investigated,” they stated.

The protests, ignited by Iran’s escalating economic and labor crises, began under the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and have drawn support from various quarters, including a rallying cry from exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, whose father was overthrown during the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
