Doris C. Schleh, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully at her home on December 5, 2025, at the age of 93. Doris leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who were fortunate to know her.
Born to Thora and Gaylord Geary, Doris experienced a full life, marked by personal joys and profound losses. She is preceded in death by her two husbands, Edward Matsen and Charles Schleh, as well as her son, John Matsen, and granddaughter, Teasha. Doris also mourned the loss of her siblings, Norma Kjos, Viola Hauge, and brother Arnold Geary.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Nancy Matsen (Jeff), and grandsons Tyler and Jacob. Known for her vibrant spirit, she enjoyed dressing up and dancing with her friends on Tuesday nights at the Red Barn, a local venue that held fond memories for her. Additionally, Doris cherished luncheons with family and friends, creating lasting bonds and joyful experiences.
