Pagani Unveils Huayra 70 Trionfo to Honor Founder’s Milestone

Pagani has officially reintroduced the iconic Huayra model with the launch of the Huayra 70 Trionfo, celebrating founder Horacio Pagani’s 70th birthday. This new vehicle not only pays homage to Pagani’s legacy but also showcases the brand’s innovative spirit, blending cutting-edge design with high-performance engineering.

The Huayra 70 Trionfo emerges as a striking reinterpretation of a car that was considered retired to pave the way for the newer Utopia. Unlike its predecessors, this model features an entirely new body, with only the doors and window frames retained from the standard Huayra. Design elements such as the dual-point headlights recall the unique Codalunga, offering a fresh aesthetic that stands out in the luxury sports car market.

Pagani plans to produce only three units of the Huayra 70 Trionfo, although it has not clarified whether these will be entirely new designs or conversions of existing vehicles. The brand has a history of reviving its legendary models, as seen when the Zonda made a comeback last year with the Unico, 26 years after its original debut.

The Huayra 70 Trionfo boasts an aggressive design and extreme aerodynamics, drawing inspiration from the Huayra Roadster BC. This previous model was powered by a Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that produced a remarkable 791 horsepower and 774 pound-feet (1,050 Newton-meters) of torque. However, the new model elevates performance by enhancing the engine output to 834 horsepower, as confirmed by the vehicle’s owner through an Instagram post.

In an exciting shift from its predecessor, the Huayra 70 Trionfo features a seven-speed manual transmission rather than the automated-manual gearbox used in the Roadster BC. This change harks back to Pagani’s tradition of offering fully manual options, as seen in the 2024 Epitome and the previous year’s Huayra Codalunga, both equipped with traditional gated shifters.

While Pagani has not yet revealed the other two units of the 70-spec Huayras, this particular model stands out as the only one officially designated as a Trionfo, which translates to “triumph” in Italian.

Pagani’s ability to breathe new life into its models is noteworthy and has even inspired competitors like Bugatti to revisit their own iconic vehicles. The luxury car manufacturer has already revived the Chiron with two new variants: the 2025 Brouillard and the FKP Hommage, reminiscent of the Veyron.

The launch of the Huayra 70 Trionfo not only highlights Pagani’s commitment to excellence but also reinforces the brand’s status in the high-end automotive world. As enthusiasts eagerly await the arrival of these limited-edition vehicles, it is clear that Pagani continues to push the boundaries of automotive design and performance.
