Family Mourns the Sudden Passing of Clare J. Turoff

The family of Clare J. Turoff has announced her unexpected passing on July 12, 2026. She died suddenly, leaving behind her son, Michael Turoff, along with her sisters, Mary, Kristie, and Stephanie Richey. Clare is also survived by several nephews: Christopher, Jackson, Phillip, Sam, Stephen, and Will. She was predeceased by her father, Christopher G. Turoff.

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1946, Clare spent her formative years in Marin County, California. She graduated from San Rafael High School and furthered her education at the College of Marin and Chabot College in Hayward, where she earned a degree in Dental Hygiene.

Clare dedicated a significant portion of her professional life to dentistry, working at various dental offices located at 1131 Mission Rd. in South San Francisco from 1973 to 2020. Throughout her career, she was known for her compassionate care and commitment to her patients.

After retiring, Clare remained active and engaged in her community. She enjoyed visiting with friends, taking walks in Ross, and attending Adult Extension classes at the College of Marin.

In accordance with Clare’s wishes, no formal service will be held. The family invites those who wish to honor her memory to consider planting a living memorial or sending flowers.

Clare Turoff’s legacy is one of dedication, both to her family and her profession. She will be remembered fondly by her loved ones and the many lives she touched throughout her career and personal life.
