Residents of Baton Rouge have options for disposing of their Christmas trees following the holiday season. The city-parish has provided specific locations where individuals can recycle their trees, or they can opt for curbside collection during designated trash pickup days.
Flannery Road Park, located at 801 Flannery Road, is one of the designated recycling sites. Another option is Highland Road Community Park at 4024 Highland Road. Residents can also drop off their trees at the Memorial Sports Complex at 1702 Foss Street, or at Scotlandville Parkway located at 3200 Harding Boulevard. Other locations include Plank Road Park at 9550 Plank Road and Zachary Community Park at 20055 Old Scenic Highway.
For those who prefer not to recycle their trees, the city-parish advises that trees can be placed curbside for collection. This will occur on regularly scheduled “out-of-cart” trash pickup days.
