Johnson’s remarkable season saw him record 56 passes for 1,157 yards and 15 touchdowns, solidifying his reputation as a top player in high school football.

Adding to the accolades, Oscar Smith head coach Chris Scott has been named Class 6 Coach of the Year after leading the Tigers to their second consecutive state title and the fourth during his tenure. This recognition highlights the team’s stellar performance throughout the season.

Johnson’s exceptional skills have placed him on the first team alongside seven fellow teammates. Among them are junior quarterback Lonnie Andrews, senior offensive lineman Dory Wilson, and senior linebacker Malachi White. Their contributions were pivotal in Oscar Smith’s successful campaign, including a recent victory over Indian River on September 20, 2025, with a score of 33-20 at Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake, Virginia.

In addition to Johnson, the first-team selections include sophomore defensive lineman Lincoln Halliday, senior defensive back Jayden Covil, senior punt returner Quali Price, and senior all-purpose player Na’Rod Jarvis. The second team recognized senior tight end Charles McGlown and Jarvis at linebacker.
