Batavia Unveils New Police Station on 31 Bank Street

The City of Batavia has officially announced the opening of its new police station, located at 31 Bank Street. All police operations will transition to this facility starting on December 8, marking a significant upgrade for the local law enforcement agency.

The new police station is designed to enhance community engagement and operational efficiency. The building’s lobby will be accessible to the public during weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing residents with a direct line to police services.

As part of the construction process, Alva Place will be closed from Bank Street to the Batavia City Center parking lot until all work is completed. In the meantime, parking is available in the Batavia City Center’s parking lot, ensuring that residents and visitors can still access the area despite the ongoing construction.

Residents can continue to reach the Batavia Police Department through the same phone number. For non-emergency inquiries, the department can be contacted at (585) 345-6350.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house will be scheduled at a later date, allowing the community to celebrate the new facility and learn more about its services. The Batavia Police Department remains committed to serving the community effectively from their new location.
