The Teachers Health Trust (THT) is set to offer free primary care services, including annual wellness exams and mammograms, at three mobile health care events scheduled for December 16-18, 2023. This initiative aims to provide accessible health care to educators in Clark County, Nevada, continuing the momentum from a similar event held last month at Laughlin High School.
The upcoming mobile health events will take place at the following locations and times:
– **Tuesday, December 16** – Sunrise Mountain High School from 12:00 to 19:00
– **Wednesday, December 17** – Centennial High School from 12:00 to 19:00
– **Thursday, December 18** – Liberty High School from 12:00 to 19:00
Members of THT can obtain various health services, including basic lab tests and immunizations, during these events. Interested teachers are encouraged to sign up for appointments through the THT website at www.ththealth.org/calendar/.
Tom Zumtobel, CEO of the Teachers Health Trust, emphasized the importance of these services. “Wellness exams and mammograms are critically important diagnostic tools to aid in early detection of health concerns, such as high blood pressure and breast cancer,” he stated. He also noted that the mobile health services aim to enhance convenience for educators, particularly those in areas with limited access to health care.
The Teachers Health Trust was established in October 1983 through a partnership between the Clark County School District (CCSD) and the Clark County Education Association (CCEA). The organization is a self-funded, nonprofit health insurance plan that serves educators and their dependents within Clark County.
This initiative reflects THT’s commitment to improving health outcomes for its members by bringing essential services directly to their communities. The previous event at Laughlin High School was part of the broader effort to enhance health care accessibility for educators across the region.
