Amazon’s Prime Video Expands Offerings with M6+ in France and RTVE in Spain

Amazon’s Prime Video has significantly expanded its European offerings, introducing two major content agreements in France and Spain. The announcement, made on Wednesday, follows a similar deal for HBO Max in Italy, Germany, and Austria announced just a day prior.

Starting immediately, Prime members in France can access M6 Group’s streaming service, M6+, at no additional cost. This partnership grants users access to a wide range of programming from the M6, W9, 6ter, and Gulli channels, available both live and on demand. The deal includes over 30,000 hours of content, featuring exclusive M6+ titles.

The programming encompasses popular local shows such as Les Traîtres, L’Amour est dans le pré, Qui veut être mon associé?, and Top Chef, alongside notable reality series like C’est la famille and major sporting events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the Super Bowl.

Elisabetta Carruba, Director of Prime Video Channels for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are very pleased to welcome M6’s quality programming to Prime Video. The addition of M6 content to our service is an important step in our goal of becoming the number one entertainment destination for our customers.”

In a parallel move, Prime Video has announced a “landmark agreement” with the national public broadcaster RTVE in Spain. This deal enables Prime members to access live broadcasts from RTVE’s channels, including La 1, La 2, Canal 24H, Clan, and Teledeporte, at no extra cost.

This agreement offers Spanish viewers a user-friendly way to explore RTVE’s diverse programming directly through Prime Video, featuring a dedicated section on the Live TV homepage. Among RTVE’s popular offerings are sports coverage, news programs, and entertainment shows such as MasterChef and Hasta el fin del mundo. Children’s programming, including Peppa Pig and Los Lunnis, will also be available.

Carruba highlighted the strategic nature of the RTVE partnership, stating, “Following the successful integrations of add-on subscriptions across Europe, we are extremely pleased to expand our collaboration with RTVE through this agreement that will allow our Prime subscribers in Spain to access the complete offering of RTVE channels directly from Prime Video.”

This latest move by Amazon demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the viewer experience by consolidating high-quality content into a single streaming service, further establishing Prime Video as a leading entertainment destination in both Spain and France.
