UPDATE: A person is in critical condition following a shooting on Indianapolis’ east side early this morning. Just after 4 a.m. on November 23, 2023, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a report of a shooting in the 3800 block of East 38th Street, near North Sherman Drive.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim who had sustained serious injuries. As of now, the victim remains in critical condition, and authorities have not yet released any information regarding a suspect or potential motive for the attack.

This incident raises serious concerns about safety in the community, as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Local residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
