Urgent: Charlotte M. Seim, Beloved Community Figure, Passes Away at 89

BREAKING: Charlotte M. Seim, a cherished member of the Guilderland community, has passed away at 89 years old. The news was confirmed earlier today, following her death on November 11, 2025.

Born on February 26, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jennie (Travis) Woodard. She dedicated much of her career to Travelers Insurance Company, where she retired after years of service, ultimately meeting her late husband, William R. Seim. Charlotte was a devoted family member, leaving behind her children, Donna (Ronald) Healt, William (Debra) Eggleston III, Richard (Cheryl) Eggleston, Michael (Rose) Eggleston, and Guy (Susan Jacobson) Eggleston, along with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Charlotte was well-known for her vibrant personality and sense of humor, making her a beloved figure within the Baptist community. Her daily walks, often leading her to craft fairs or shopping, made her a familiar face in the area. She was actively involved in crafts and activities at Baptist Health, where she was appreciated for her uplifting presence.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health and Community Hospice, particularly Brittany and her team, for their dedicated care during Charlotte’s final days.

Visitation for friends and family will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, starting at 11 a.m. after a gathering at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland, NY, honoring Charlotte’s life and legacy.

Charlotte’s passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of many, and her contributions to the community will be deeply missed.
