UPDATE: A 24-year-old man was shot dead in Far Rockaway, Queens, on December 30, 2025, and the suspect is still on the run, NYPD officials report. The shooting occurred just after 6:40 p.m. in front of two storefronts located at 289 Beach 14th St. Police received a 911 call and rushed to the scene, where they discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and arm.
Despite immediate efforts to transport the victim to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The police have not disclosed the victim’s identity as they await family notification.
As of now, the motive for this shocking crime remains unclear, and authorities have made no arrests. The 101st Precinct is actively investigating the case but has not provided a description of the suspect or suspects involved.
