Thousands Celebrate 15th Annual Whiskey Row Boot Drop Tonight

URGENT UPDATE: Thousands are currently gathering at Whiskey Row in Prescott, Arizona for the highly anticipated 15th annual New Year’s Eve Boot Drop. This unique celebration, claimed to be the only one of its kind globally, features a spectacular 6-foot-tall illuminated cowboy boot that will descend from the historic Palace Restaurant tonight.

The event kicks off with an initial drop at 10 p.m., followed by a midnight countdown to welcome 2026. Organizers expect the crowd to surpass 20,000 attendees, a striking growth from the inaugural event that attracted around 2,000 revelers.

“This is the only boot drop worldwide, as far as we know,” stated Matt Brassard from M&M Entertainment & Productions. The festivities include not just the boot drop but also live music, fireworks, and rides, making it a family-friendly event for all ages.

Since its inception, the Boot Drop has significantly boosted Prescott’s economy, with local hotels filling up quickly. “Now it’s hard to even find a room if you don’t look in advance,” Brassard noted, highlighting the event’s growing popularity and impact on the community.

The Boot Drop pays tribute to Prescott’s rich heritage as the home of the world’s oldest rodeo, turning the “blingy” boot descent into a must-see Arizona tradition for New Year’s Eve.

As the clock ticks down to midnight, excitement fills the air, with attendees eager to ring in the new year in this one-of-a-kind celebration. Stay tuned for updates and highlights from this unforgettable night!
