UPDATE: The Thompson Integrated Early Childhood Program is expressing heartfelt gratitude to its community partners for their unwavering support this semester as the season of giving unfolds.
Just announced, the program highlighted contributions that significantly impacted local preschoolers, emphasizing the urgency of community involvement during this critical time. The Loveland Lions Club provided essential annual vision screenings, showcasing a firm commitment to children’s health.
In November, the program hosted a successful Health and Safety “Hugs” Family Night, made possible by generous donations from the Philo (Philomatheon Club) and Thompson Valley Rotary. Families enjoyed a night filled with dinner, engaging activities, and sensory bottle-making, bringing joy to both children and parents alike.
Before Thanksgiving, the Thompson Education Foundation stepped in to assist families affected by SNAP (food assistance) delays by donating gift cards. Families also signed up for weekend food bags through the program’s partnership with KidsPak, ensuring that no child goes hungry during this festive season.
As December rolled in, the Philo organization made a significant donation of winter clothing for students and classrooms, directly impacting the children’s well-being. In a heartwarming gesture before winter break, the Loveland-Big Thompson Kiwanis purchased books for all 581 students, with the Loveland High School Key Club volunteering to wrap them as gifts.
The Thompson Integrated Early Childhood Program, led by Julie Lindsay, Family and Community Partnership Coordinator, emphasized the importance of these contributions: “We are deeply grateful for the compassion and continued support of these organizations.”
As holiday celebrations approach, the program urges the community to remain engaged and supportive, ensuring that every child enjoys a joyful season. The impact of these donations resonates far beyond the classroom, fostering a sense of community and care that is critical during these challenging times.
For those wishing to express their gratitude publicly, the Reporter-Herald publishes thank-you letters every Tuesday, with submissions limited to 150 words or less. The deadline for submissions is noon on the Thursday prior to publication, and letters can be emailed to [email protected].
Stay tuned for more updates on community initiatives and how you can help make a difference this holiday season.
