UPDATE: A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of a 35-year-old man in Riverside, California. Authorities confirmed the arrest of John Larry Perryman, aged 34, who is now facing murder charges following the deadly incident that occurred on December 9, 2023.
The stabbing unfolded around 12:20 PM on the 3700 block of University Avenue. Police responded swiftly to reports of the attack and found the victim, identified as Jullian Hughes from Moreno Valley, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Authorities report that Perryman attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended a short distance away, near 14th Street and Sedgwick Avenue. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in court next week.
