Sherry Ann Turner, Beloved Community Figure, Passes Away at 73

BREAKING: Sherry Ann Turner, a cherished member of the Englewood, Colorado community, has passed away at the age of 73. Turner died on October 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of adventure and connection.

Born on January 10, 1952, in Cozad, Nebraska, Sherry was a vibrant spirit known for her sociable nature and love for the outdoors. She graduated from Eustis High School in 1970, where she was celebrated as homecoming queen, a testament to her popular and outgoing personality.

After completing her education at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where she earned a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, she joined the Pi Beta Phi sorority, fostering lifelong friendships. Sherry’s adventurous spirit led her to spend a year in Italy, creating unforgettable memories that shaped her life.

Sherry made a name for herself in Breckenridge, Colorado, where she began her career on Peak 9 and later opened her own store, Nordica Haus. Her passion for helping others led her to transition into a successful career as a mortgage lender, continuing until her retirement in the Cherry Creek area of Denver.

Her deep love for the mountains was evident in her hobbies, including skiing, hiking, and fishing at Parathyon Point. Sherry was known for gathering family and friends in her backyard, creating a welcoming atmosphere filled with laughter and joy.

Sherry is survived by her brothers, Doug Turner of Sun City, AZ, and Brad Turner of Eustis, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Erma Turner, and her brother, Dallas Turner.

The community is mourning the loss of a beloved figure who embodied adventure, hard work, and the importance of family connections. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad, Nebraska, is assisting the family with arrangements.
