BREAKING: A 34-year-old San Jose woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred just before 7:30 PM on December 3, 2023. Authorities confirm that the collision was intentional, marking a tragic escalation in violence in San Jose.
The incident took place at the intersection of Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way, where officers discovered a woman lying in the roadway. Despite immediate medical assistance, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office is set to release her identity once next of kin are notified.
According to police, preliminary investigations indicate that the collision was an intentional act. San Jose police Sgt. Jorge Garibay stated that the motive and circumstances are still under active investigation.
The suspect, identified as Yanette Beas Solorio, was located approximately two miles from the scene in Santa Clara. She has been arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail without bail. This tragic incident marks the city’s 24th homicide of the year, a significant increase compared to 29 homicides investigated at the same time last year.
