UPDATE: The PlayStation 5 (PS5) has officially reached a staggering 84.2 million units sold, as Sony’s latest financial results reveal a significant revenue increase in its gaming division. In the last quarter, which ended on September 30, 2025, the PS5 sold 3.9 million units, narrowing the gap to the PlayStation 4 (PS4), which currently sits at 86 million units sold.
