UPDATE: A whimsical new attraction, the Bubble Planet Experience, has officially opened its doors in Los Angeles, inviting visitors to escape the stresses of daily life. Launched on December 19, 2023, this immersive, interactive journey utilizes the magic of bubbles to promote relaxation and joy.
Located at the Exhibition Hub Los Angeles Art Center at 634 Mateo St., the pop-up spans an impressive 25,000 square feet and features six uniquely designed walk-through rooms. Each space is inspired by bubbles, offering experiences such as a bubble bath, a bubble ocean, and LED interactive rooms.
“We wanted to create a new type of immersive experience that combines digital technology with traditional physical engagement,” said John Zaller, executive producer of the Bubble Planet Experience. “One of our fondest childhood memories was making soap bubbles, so we aimed to capture that joy in this exhibit.”
Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the LED Room, designed to mimic an underwater environment. “This room responds to your movements, lighting up as you walk through it,” Zaller explained. This interactive setup sets the tone for an exhibit that encourages playful engagement.
As guests progress, they encounter the kaleidoscope room, filled with vibrant colors, leading to the Bubble Ocean, where they can toss around pink balloons. The experience culminates in the Selfie Room, where attendees can snap photos among rubber ducks and then splash around in the Bubble Bath room.
“This experience is all about relaxation,” Zaller emphasized. “We hope our guests leave inspired and uplifted, realizing that when it comes to creativity, the sky is the limit.”
The Bubble Planet Experience, which first launched in 2023 and has locations across Europe, Australia, and the U.S., is expected to remain in Los Angeles for at least six months. Tickets are priced at $14.90, making this immersive adventure accessible to many.
