Missouri License Office Closing Until 2026: Alternatives Available Now

URGENT UPDATE: The local license office at 1021 West Buchanan is set to close its doors temporarily, with the Missouri Department of Revenue confirming the shutdown will commence after business on November 25, 2025. This office is not expected to reopen until January 2026, relocating to a yet-undisclosed site.

Residents are urged to act quickly to manage their motor vehicle and driver licensing needs, as alternatives are readily available. Nearby offices include the Eldon License Office at 404 East 4th Street, Suite B, the Versailles License Office located at 108 North Monroe, and the Jefferson City License Office at 2015 Schotthill Woods Drive. Additionally, the Boonville License Office at 520 Ryan Street, Unit F will also assist residents with licensing requirements, including the pick-up of personalized plates.
