Linda Vasquez was welcomed into the arms of her late husband, Leonard Vasquez, who she adored deeply. Born on July 3, 1947, in Waterbury, CT, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Josephine Cipriano. Linda devoted her life to education, teaching Language Arts and Science at St. Anne’s School in Waterbury and later at St. Francis Middle School in New Britain.
After her teaching career, Linda took on a pivotal role as an Operations Analyst at Traveler’s Insurance, where she worked until her retirement. Her contributions extended beyond her job; she was active in the employee community and served as the 1993 President of Traveler’s Women’s Club.
Linda was known for her love of stories and antiques. She frequently spent weekends hunting for unique treasures at local flea markets and even managed her own antique shop. Her passion for collecting paralleled her love for the ocean, a bond she shared with Leonard. Together, they spent countless summers at the Jersey Shore and Cape Cod, ultimately building their dream home in Wellfleet, MA.
Those who knew Linda will remember her as a warm and welcoming presence, often hosting gatherings filled with laughter and love. She leaves behind a network of friends who felt like family, including Timothy Fritz, Alysa Krajcik, Jessica Spence, and Jennifer Hernandez.
