Sally was born on November 4, 1953, in Long Beach, California, before moving to Santa Cruz at the age of nine. She graduated from Soquel High School in 1971, where she met her soulmate, Kevin Cooper. The couple enjoyed a remarkable journey together, celebrating 54 years of marriage filled with love and community service.
Known for her unwavering dedication, Sally spent years coaching youth soccer, making a lasting impact on countless players and families. Her contributions to the Soquel School District and her vibrant spirit were hallmarks of her life, inspiring many who crossed her path.
Sally is survived by her husband, Kevin, their three sons, Chris, Brian, and Jake, and their daughter, Amy. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Bradley, Troy, Logan, Kendall, and Kenzie, along with her beloved cat, William, who provided her with comfort and companionship.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 435 Monterey Ave, Capitola, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the SPCA in Sally’s memory, honoring her love for animals and community service.
