Beloved Coopersburg Resident Patricia Huber Passes Away at 77

UPDATE: Patricia “Pat” Anne Huber, a cherished member of the Coopersburg community, passed away at the age of 77 on December 7, 2025, at St. Luke’s Fountain Hill. Her unexpected departure has left family and friends mourning the loss of a remarkable woman known for her dedication to medicine and her loving spirit.

Born on July 15, 1948, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Maurice Duane Huber and Jean Anne Fretz. She shared an incredible 35-year marriage with her husband, Dr. Steve Sisson, who described her as his “best friend” and “soulmate.” Their bond was a testament to love and partnership that inspired those around them.

Patricia’s academic journey began at the University of Rochester, where she completed her undergraduate studies before earning her M.D. from the University of Texas at Galveston. She honed her skills during her residency at the University of Pennsylvania, building a career defined by compassion and exceptional care. Her commitment to her patients was unwavering, and she was revered for her intelligence and dedication.

Beyond her professional life, Patricia was a woman of diverse passions. She had a deep appreciation for culinary arts, often hosting gatherings that brought friends and family together around her table. Her love for gardening and floral arranging showcased her connection to nature’s beauty, while her dedication to reading reflected her insatiable curiosity.

Patricia’s heart extended to animals, with her beloved cats, Toby and Russo, providing her with constant companionship and joy. Above all, her most cherished relationship was with her daughter, Dana Sisson, who not only shared a profound bond with her mother but was also her closest confidante.

A staunch member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Patricia found purpose and community within her faith, forming lasting friendships that enriched her life.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Dr. R. Steven Sisson; her daughter, Dana Sisson; her nephew, Jeff Huber; and her two pet cats. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Rick and Ed Huber.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 1-2 p.m. at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, located at 150 Elm St, Emmaus, PA 18049. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., with Mother Laura Howell officiating.
