Before his tenure at Southern Miss, Huff served as head coach at Marshall University, where he achieved a 10-3 record in 2024 and secured a Sun Belt Conference title.
Memphis aims to replace Ryan Silverfield, who recently accepted the head coaching position at Arkansas after guiding the Tigers to bowl eligibility for six consecutive seasons.
