Vicus Capital Reduces Stake in iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF by 43.9%

Vicus Capital has significantly reduced its stake in the iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF (BATS:IEFA), decreasing its holdings by 43.9% during the third quarter of 2023. According to data from Holdings Channel, the firm now owns 707,599 shares after selling 552,830 shares during this period. The iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF represents approximately 4.7% of Vicus Capital’s overall portfolio, making it the firm’s third largest investment.

As of the end of the most recent quarter, Vicus Capital’s holdings in the iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF were valued at $61.78 million. Other institutional investors have also been active in the ETF, reflecting a mix of buying and selling activities. For example, Revolve Wealth Partners LLC increased its stake by 3.8% in the fourth quarter, now owning 551,668 shares valued at $38.77 million after acquiring an additional 19,941 shares.

In the first quarter, Jones Financial Companies Lllp boosted its holdings by 0.7%, bringing its total to 89,235,188 shares worth $6.82 billion following an acquisition of 663,730 shares. Similarly, RDA Financial Network expanded its position by 50.3% in the second quarter, now holding 7,263 shares valued at $606,000 after purchasing an additional 2,431 shares.

Another notable change came from Salem Investment Counselors Inc., which increased its investment by 1.1% during the second quarter, now owning 12,109 shares worth $1.01 million after acquiring 137 shares. Additionally, Bangor Savings Bank raised its holdings by 1.9%, now owning 961,584 shares valued at $80.27 million.

The iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF opened at $92.16 on Monday. The fund has experienced fluctuations over the past year, with a low of $66.95 and a high of $87.36. The ETF has a market capitalization of $157.59 billion, a price-to-earnings ratio of 16.18, and a beta of 0.84. Its 50-day simple moving average stands at $88.94, while the 200-day simple moving average is $86.84.
