The Chico Noon Exchange Club held its monthly meeting on November 4, 2023, where it honored two exceptional students for their achievements and aspirations. Mona Henriks from Core Butte High School and Destiny Donica from Oakdale School were recognized for their outstanding contributions to their schools and communities.
During the event, both students shared insights into their current activities and future goals. Rowan Wilson, Mona’s academic advising teacher, accompanied her, while Chelsea Cornell, Destiny’s counselor, supported her during the recognition. The students’ presentations highlighted their commitment to excellence and their ambitions, inspiring fellow attendees.
The recognition ceremony was coordinated by Kathreen Lammers, who oversees the student awards program at the Exchange Club. The Chico Noon Exchange Club meets weekly every Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. at Canyon Oaks, where they welcome prospective members to learn more about their initiatives.
For those interested in community involvement or seeking information about the club’s activities, further details can be found on their official website: www.chicoexchangeclub.org.
This recognition not only celebrates the students’ achievements but also emphasizes the importance of community support in fostering young talent. Through such events, the Chico Noon Exchange Club continues its tradition of honoring the dedication and hard work of students in the region.
