European fashion brand Jack & Jones is entering the U.S. market, opening its first two stores in New Jersey and Connecticut. The flagship location will be at Freehold Raceway Mall in New Jersey, with the second store situated at Danbury Fair Mall in Connecticut. These openings represent the initial phase of the company’s expansion strategy in the United States, with additional locations planned for the future.
The new stores will feature both Jack & Jones, a menswear brand established in Denmark, and its women’s line, JJXX. Officials from the Freehold mall anticipate that the new store will be operational by early 2024. Jack & Jones, which began as a denim-focused brand, has evolved into an international retailer with over 4,000 stores globally. Its product range includes denim, tailoring, casual wear, urban sportswear, and accessories.
JJXX aims to empower women through fashion, offering “bold, contemporary styles” that highlight high-quality denim and essential wardrobe pieces. The brand emphasizes individuality and confidence in personal style.
In a statement, Anders Gam, the brand director of Jack & Jones, expressed enthusiasm for entering the U.S. market. “The U.S. has always been an important fashion market for us,” Gam said. “We’re excited to introduce our unique blend of denim expertise and accessible fashion. We can’t wait to meet U.S. consumers and share what Jack & Jones is all about — great denim, on-trend fashion, and prices that make it easy to keep your style fresh.”
The entry of Jack & Jones into the U.S. market has garnered positive reactions from local business leaders. Eric Bunyan, senior vice president of leasing at Macerich, the real estate company that owns Freehold Raceway Mall, stated that the brand adds “fresh energy” to the shopping center. “Their focus on quality, style, and versatile fashion perfectly complements the shopping experience our guests expect,” Bunyan noted.
As Jack & Jones embarks on this new chapter, the brand aims to captivate American consumers with its commitment to quality and style. The presence of both menswear and women’s fashion will cater to a diverse audience, reinforcing the brand’s position in the competitive U.S. retail landscape.
As the retail environment continues to evolve, Jack & Jones’ strategic expansion reflects a growing interest in bringing European fashion to American shoppers. With this launch, the brand hopes to establish a strong foothold and foster a loyal customer base in the United States.
