Dr. Julie Rajotte-Caron has joined the Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) as a breast surgeon at the MVHS Breast Care Center. Her extensive background in medicine and humanitarian work positions her as a valuable addition to the healthcare team.
Before earning her medical degree, Dr. Rajotte-Caron worked as a surgical assistant at Kanata Plastic Surgery in Ottawa, Canada. Her professional journey also includes serving with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) as a registered nurse on the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART). In this capacity, she was deployed to the Philippines in 2013 to provide medical assistance following a devastating typhoon.
In addition to her military service, Dr. Rajotte-Caron has engaged in humanitarian efforts in El Salvador, underscoring her commitment to global health. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in Québec before pursuing her medical degree at the Saint James School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.
Extensive Training and Multilingual Skills
Dr. Rajotte-Caron completed her General Surgery training at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, North Carolina. Her diverse experience equips her well to handle a range of surgical procedures related to breast care.
