Ted Season 2 Unveils Hilarious Trailer Ahead of March Premiere

Peacock has released the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the comedy series Ted, set to premiere on March 5, 2026. This latest installment will feature eight new episodes that continue the uproarious adventures of Ted, the foul-mouthed teddy bear, and his best friend, John Bennett.

The official synopsis indicates that the story unfolds in 1994 during Ted and John’s senior year of high school. They navigate their final months before college while living in a working-class home in Boston with John’s family, including his parents, Matty and Susan, and cousin Blaire. Matty is described as a tough, blue-collar Bostonian who insists on maintaining authority, particularly over his liberal-minded niece, while Susan is characterized as nurturing and selfless. Blaire, a bold college student, often finds herself clashing with her more conservative relatives.

The trailer showcases the duo’s attempts to secure girlfriends while engaging in a series of misadventures typical of their teenage years. Viewers can expect comedic escapades involving school pranks, indecent phone calls, and run-ins with jocks. The main cast includes Seth MacFarlane voicing Ted, Max Burkholder as John, Alanna Ubach as Susan, Scott Grimes as Matty, and Giorgia Whigham as Blaire.

This series serves as a prequel to the popular comedy franchise featuring Mark Wahlberg. It is crafted by the creative team of MacFarlane, Paul Corrigan, and Brad Walsh, who also serve as executive producers alongside Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, and Aimee Carlson. Produced by UCP, the first season was a remarkable success, becoming Peacock’s most-watched original title and reigning as the top original streaming comedy in the United States for over two months, according to Nielsen data.

The expansion of the Ted franchise is also on the horizon, with plans for an animated sequel series where Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried will reprise their roles from the live-action films.

In a statement, the showrunners expressed their enthusiasm for the new season, highlighting the dedication of their writers, actors, and crew. “We hope you enjoy these eight somewhat filthy, hopefully funny, heartfelt episodes about a young man, his talking teddy bear, and their highly dysfunctional family,” they said. They added a tongue-in-cheek suggestion for viewers who might not find the series to their liking, encouraging them to let all episodes play to completion across multiple devices as a form of support.

With its return, Ted Season 2 promises to deliver the same outrageous humor that captivated audiences in its inaugural season, setting the stage for another memorable chapter in this wildly popular series.
