Nothing Technology has marked a significant milestone with the launch of two new products set to debut in the United States: the Nothing Phone 4a Pro and the Nothing Headphone (a). Both devices are part of the company’s A-series lineup, designed to provide premium features at a competitive price point.
The launch event showcased how Nothing aims to capture the attention of tech enthusiasts, especially those who prioritize thoughtful design and innovative software. The Nothing Phone 4a Pro and the Nothing Headphone (a) are priced below flagship models, making them more accessible for a wider range of consumers.
Details of the Nothing Phone 4a Pro
The Nothing Phone 4a Pro features a sleek metal unibody design, measuring a mere 7.95mm in thickness. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and offers storage options of either 128GB or 256GB with UFS3.1 technology. Users can choose from configurations that include 8GB to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The phone boasts a spacious 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800×1260 and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Its battery capacity stands at a robust 5080mAh and supports wired charging at 50W. Additional features include stereo speakers, IP65 water and dust resistance, and an optical fingerprint reader. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 32MP selfie camera, alongside a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP telephoto lens with an impressive 140x ultra zoom, a 50MP main sensor, and an ultra-wide lens.
The back of the device showcases the signature clear design, incorporating a Glyph Matrix that has been enhanced with 137 mini-LEDs, making it 57% larger and 100% brighter than its predecessor. This feature remains customizable for notifications, calls, and games, enriching the user experience. The Nothing Phone 4a Pro runs on Android 16 with Nothing OS 4.1 and promises three years of Android OS updates along with six years of security patches.
Pre-orders for the device open on March 13, 2024, with shipments expected to commence by March 27, 2024. The 8GB-128GB model will start at $499, while the 12GB-256GB variant is priced at $599. Available colors include Pink, Black, and Silver.
Introducing the Nothing Headphone (a)
Alongside the phone, Nothing also unveiled the Headphone (a), an over-ear headphone priced at $199, which reduces the cost by $100 compared to the previous model, the Headphone (1). This new offering is available in multiple colors, including Pink, White, Black, and a limited edition Yellow, which will be available from April 6, 2024.
The Headphone (a) impresses with a remarkable playback time of up to 135 hours on a single charge. It retains the physical controls from its predecessor, including a roller wheel and a paddle, designed for user-friendly functionality. Weighing 310 grams, these headphones feature breathable memory foam cushions for enhanced comfort.
These headphones also incorporate Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which has received positive feedback during initial testing. They offer Spatial Audio, an IP52 durability rating, and feature three microphones to better adapt to various environments. Control settings can be managed through the Nothing X app.
