McCarter Theatre is set to enchant audiences this holiday season with its beloved production of A Christmas Carol, running from December 9 through December 28, 2023. This year, acclaimed actor Cameron Knight takes on the iconic role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Knight, who also serves as the Head of the Acting Program at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, brings a profound sense of humanity to the character, according to Artistic Director Sarah Rasmussen.
“Scrooge is a character of Shakespearean magnitude,” Rasmussen stated, highlighting the depth and complexity Knight contributes to the production. Knight’s impressive resume includes performances at renowned venues such as the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, as well as notable screen appearances in series like The Orville and Blue Bloods.
The production continues a cherished tradition in Princeton, offering an immersive experience that celebrates joy, community, and generosity. The theatre is not just presenting a show; it is fostering an atmosphere of festive spirit that resonates with audiences of all ages.
