Streaming platform Netflix is set to add a classic to its library with the arrival of Conan the Destroyer, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film, a sequel to the 1982 hit Conan the Barbarian, will begin streaming on January 1, 2026, as part of a broader expansion of the platform’s content offerings.
This 1984 sword-and-sorcery film, directed by Richard Fleischer, follows the adventures of Conan, a warrior king portrayed by Schwarzenegger. He embarks on a quest with his niece, Jehnna, played by a young Olivia d’Abo, to locate a magical gem needed to thwart a powerful wizard. The cast also features notable performances from Grace Jones as Zula, Wilt Chamberlain as Bombaata, Sarah Douglas as Queen Taramis, Makoto Iwamatsu as Akiro “The Wizard,” and Sven-Ole Thorsen as Togra.
