The Annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts & Crafts Show will take place at a new venue this year, promising a festive atmosphere and ample space for over 50 vendors. The event is scheduled for November 22, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Houghton Elementary and Chocksett Middle Schools, located at 32 Boutelle Road in Sterling, Massachusetts.
After many successful years at the First Church in Sterling, the show has relocated to accommodate its growing popularity, allowing for a larger selection of handmade holiday gifts. Beth Cyr, the chairperson of the craft fair, expressed enthusiasm for the new setting, stating, “The new venue allows space for even more artists and craftspeople.”
Vendor Highlights and New Offerings
Attendees can expect a diverse range of high-quality items crafted by local artisans. Returning vendors will showcase an array of products, including alpaca items, aromatherapy products, beach glass art, and handmade jewelry. Unique offerings such as candles in vintage teacups, custom wreaths, and pet portraits will also be available, introducing shoppers to exciting new artisans.
Traditional favorites like the bake sale, cheese sale, and raffle will continue to be part of the event, enhancing the festive spirit. Additionally, a lunch café will provide refreshments throughout the day.
Supporting the Library and Community Engagement
Admission to the Arts and Crafts Show is set at $2, with proceeds designated for programs at the Conant Public Library. Each visitor will receive a Passport, which can be stamped at three different locations for a chance to win a prize, encouraging engagement with the diverse offerings of the fair.
This year’s event is co-sponsored by All One Credit Union. While all vendor spaces have been filled, interested artisans are encouraged to contact Beth Cyr at [email protected] to join a waiting list and receive information about future shows.
