Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers will host a grand championship parade on Monday, November 3, 2023, in celebration of their second consecutive World Series title. The event will begin in downtown Los Angeles and culminate in a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium. This festive occasion aims to unite fans as they honor the team’s remarkable achievement.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass shared details of the parade on Saturday evening, emphasizing the significance of the event. “Once again, the Dodgers have shown the world that Los Angeles is the city of champions,” Bass stated. She encouraged fans to enjoy the celebrations while remaining safe and responsible.
The parade will kick off at 11:00 a.m. PST, starting at the intersection of Temple Street and Broadway. The route will extend approximately 45 minutes, proceeding west on Temple, south on Grand Avenue, west on 7th Street, and concluding at Figueroa Street. Players and team personnel will ride on double-decker buses, allowing fans to catch a glimpse of their champions along Grand Avenue, the longest stretch of the parade.
Following the parade, a special ticketed event at Dodger Stadium is scheduled to commence at 12:15 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Sunday at noon via the team’s website, dodgers.com/postseason. Stadium gates will open at 9:00 a.m., with parking gates accessible from 8:30 a.m. for ticket holders only. Officials have advised that there will be no time for attendees to travel between the parade and stadium events.
The Los Angeles Unified School District will remain open during the celebrations. City officials have recommended that fans utilize public transportation, specifically Metro and Metrolink, to reach the events. The LAPD has heightened its presence, with officers stationed along the parade route and near Dodger Stadium to ensure safety.
Metro will enhance service on its lines for the event, making it convenient for fans traveling from various regions. Those arriving at Union Station via Metrolink can transfer for free to LA Metro services. Metro officials have urged fans to take the B Line from North Hollywood or the D Line from Wilshire/Western, which will connect to several downtown stations, including Union Station and Civic Center/Grand Park.
Additionally, the Dodger Stadium Express will operate from 8:30 a.m., running every 5-7 minutes from Union Station. Fans are advised to plan ahead, as parking at Union Station is expected to fill quickly. Taking public transit is strongly encouraged to avoid difficulties with parking in the downtown area.
As the parade approaches, excitement builds within the community. The Dodgers’ back-to-back championships have captivated fans, and the upcoming celebrations promise to showcase the spirit of Los Angeles and its unwavering support for the team.
