URGENT UPDATE: JetBlue is set to launch its first-ever airport lounge, BlueHouse, on December 18, 2025, at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. This landmark opening is a key step in JetBlue’s transformation into a premium airline, distinguishing it from competitors like Frontier, Spirit, and Southwest.
The President of JetBlue, Marty St. George, expressed excitement about the lounge’s debut, stating, “BlueHouse has been years in the making, and it reflects the work of more than a hundred contributors who helped bring the space to life.” This lounge is part of JetBlue’s JetForward strategy, aimed at enhancing customer experiences and positioning the airline as the East Coast’s best leisure airline.
Spanning 9,000 square feet over two stories, BlueHouse is designed to be inviting and stylish, featuring local art and Art Deco elements. With a lobby-style entry and decorative brass accents, the lounge captures the essence of New York while maintaining a distinctly JetBlue atmosphere. Guests will enjoy a curated menu, including morning favorites like bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches with local cheddar, as well as pastrami on rye and chicken Caesar wraps later in the day.
In addition to food and beverages from local favorites such as Joe Coffee and The Greats of Craft, visitors will have access to high-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets, and diverse seating areas that cater to both work and leisure. A dedicated game room will also feature JetBlue-branded cards, chess, checkers, and toys for children, making it a family-friendly space.
Access to BlueHouse is available for Mosaic members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and transatlantic Mint customers, with specific guest allowances based on membership status. The opening of this lounge signifies a broader effort by JetBlue to elevate the overall travel experience, which includes extensive renovations at Terminal 5—adding 40 new retailers and amenities.
JetBlue has also announced plans to upgrade domestic first-class cabins, with those improvements expected to roll out in 2026. The next BlueHouse location will be at Boston Logan International Airport in Terminal C, further expanding JetBlue’s commitment to premium offerings.
This launch is not just about luxury; it reflects a significant shift in the airline’s strategy to cater to a growing demographic of travelers seeking quality service and amenities. As the aviation industry evolves, JetBlue’s BlueHouse aims to set a new standard for airport lounges, merging comfort and style with the unique flair of New York.
Stay tuned for more updates on JetBlue’s expansion and premium services as they continue to reshape the airline experience.
